Today’s Hottest Stocks To Watch
The quarterly earnings continue on Thursday. Shake Shack (SHAK), Unity Software (U), a gaming firm, Texas Roadhouse (TXRH), Dropbox (DBX), Walmart (WMT), and Alibaba (BABA) are reporting results today.Among the Chinese technology firms that staged an incredible rally, watch Alibaba. The e-commerce firm does not need to post strong results to justify its rally. Co-founder Jack Ma reportedly met with Chinese Communist Party leader Xi. On Monday, the CCP leader met with China’s top tech executives in Beijing. This included leaders from Huawei, Tencent (TCEHY), CATL, Xiaomi, and BYD (BYDDF).In the software sector, Dropbox needs to post strong results. The file-sharing firm, which also offers electronic document signing and process management, has a weak moat against firms like Microsoft (MSFT) and OneDrive. Google (GOOG) offers Drive, enabling users to share and store files.Unity needs to post strong revenue. The company needs to convince investors that its developer community continues to support the Unity platform. In the restaurant sector, Texas Roadhouse trades at a premium. Although the stock pulled back from a high of around $206, closing at $174, valuations are too high. Still, expect the firm to post strong growth and profitability. That would reverse the negative momentum that started in late November 2024.
